Requirements:
A monitor capable of displaying VGA graphics
(i.e. mode 28)
1 meg free memory when running the game.
Right.....
Hello there.
I have to get one thing straight now.
I was very unsure whether or not to release Arion,
because it was the first program I wrote when I
got my first Acorn computer (a Risc PC) nearly a
year ago, and as such, it isn't very well done.
However, I dug it up recently, and found it was
quite fun, so I removed a few bugs and here it is.
I'm not going to develop this version any more,
because the programming is so terrible it's hard
to decode. I did start work on V2 about 4 months
ago, but I've got sidetracked with exams and another
program.... but that's a secret....
ok... I'll wet your appetite.
The program is called 'Legends'. Do you remember
classic games such as 'Dungeon Master' and 'Eye of
the Beholder'? Those 3D first person perspective
view games? Well thats what Legends is gonna be
like. And better (yeah, sure).
It will include:
*5 or 6 different guilds, each having their own
skills and abilities.
*Non-Player Characters (NPC's) - not just monsters!
*Up to six characters in a party - These don't have
to be generated by you, they could be rallyed
NPC's or charmed monsters/animals.
*Lots of other things I can't think of now, and
lots more things I haven't thought of yet!
***BUT!***
Legends _ISN'T_ a game. I suppose it's more of an
interpreter. You will be able to design games that
include all of the above using my Wimp-based Legends
game designer! Cool huh?
What I plan is this:
The Legends interpreter is going to be public domain
The Legends game designer will be shareware/commercial
Your games will be whatever you want them to be.
If you want more info on Legends - (I'm looking for
some help drawing some graphics - contact me if
you're interested) or want to congratulate me on
the masterpiece called Arion, then you can contact
me thusly:
